The Bryan High Vikings recently welcomed Ashley Davis to her new post as head volleyball coach. Davis transitioned from coaching at Texas A&M International University in Laredo, Texas.
"I am truly invigorated with the possibilities ahead in Bryan ISD,” Davis said. “I look forward to being part of the growth and expansion of the volleyball community in Bryan and the surrounding area, and I am thankful for this opportunity."
In Laredo, she was an assistant women's volleyball coach and kinesiology instructor. Davis has nine years of progressive experience coaching volleyball, from junior high to college, and she boasts playing experience in multiple sports. Davis earned a master’s degree in education Texas State University and a bachelor’s degree in art from Texas Lutheran University.
"We interviewed a lot of great candidates for this position,” said Athletic Director Lance Angel. “Coach Davis' energy and knowledge of volleyball made her an obvious choice, and we’re excited that she has joined us in Bryan ISD."
Davis begins her tenure at Bryan High in late March.
